Department of Housing & Community Development to hold Public Hearings

The City of Miami Department of Housing & Community Development will hold in-person public hearings to discuss community needs and establish priorities for federally funded activities within the City during Fiscal Years 2024-2028, which run from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2029. The hearings are intended to address activities that can be funded via federal grant programs including Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), which are administered by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).

The hearings will be held in preparation for the drafting of the City of Miami Consolidated Plan 2024-2028 and Action Plan 2024-2025, to be presented to the City of Miami Commission and later filed with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). Interested city residents and stakeholders are invited to attend the hearings and comment on community needs tied to federal funds including CDBG, ESG, HOME, and HOPWA.
